How a sale is recorded
Four things happen in order, every time. None of them are optional, and none of them depend on anyone remembering to do them.
Your staff records the sale at the counter
They tap the items, adjust quantities, and the total is on screen the whole time. Nothing is written on paper to be entered later, because later is where records go missing.
Takes about as long as writing it by hand, and does the arithmetic for you.
The sale is reviewed, then recorded
Before anything is saved, the whole sale is shown back: every line, the quantities, the grand total. Your staff confirm it in front of the customer.
A wrong quantity gets caught here, at the counter, rather than at closing.
Stock comes down in the same step
The sale and the stock movement are written together, as one operation. If the stock did not come down, the sale was not recorded either — and the other way round.
This is why your sales and your stock cannot quietly drift apart.
It is in your records, and it stays there
The receipt prints with a number on it. The sale appears in Reports, against the staff member who made it, and you can open it from any phone or laptop you are signed in on.
There is no button anywhere in Ledgeora that deletes a sale.
What that gives you at closing
Count your stock. Open Reports for the day. The two should agree, item for item — and if they do not, you can see exactly which sale to ask about, and who recorded it.
